Detective Puzzle #3

You, Axcel Carlson, slowly stroll back home, happy that you managed to help the police and solved the maiden case in your professional career as a detective.

While going back home, you suddenly gets knocked into a tiny space between 2 houses that face a wall by a young man, about your same age. He says sorry and helps you up. On getting up and rubbing your forehead, you notice the young man staring, jaw open at the wall facing the tiny space.

You push him aside and looks at the wall and finds that painted right onto that wall, was a strange series of symbols.

"A cipher!" Shouted the enthusiastic young man.
"I know what this--"
"Good .If you know how to solve this, it is a clear indicator of how intelligent you are, young man", you said, cutting him off.

You casually walk away, already knowing what the cipher meant,  but you make up your mind not to think about it until you finished watching Sherlock season 3, airing tonight.

What does the cipher read?
I know this is moderately tough, but this is, perhaps the easiest of the ciphers bound to come.

Detective Puzzle #2

Quizzora Detective Puzzle #2

You, Axcel Carlson, woke up with your sleep disturbed abruptly with the sound of howling Poilce Sirens.

You stumble out of the house and enquired to a bystander what the matter was.

"An explosion took place in the town center. Word is that several people have died.."

You decide to check out the situation. But you are too sleepy...Maybe later. You glance at the clock to see it strike 12:15 before you got back into your bed.

The next day, you go into the police station after hearing that some suspects have been caught by the police. You manage to get into the police station after having your father, a prominent politician, call the station head.

There you find 3 suspects:

Ash Kutcher : A tall guy, he can't see anything properly without his glasses, which he accidently broke a week days back. He is a genius of a software engineer. He was found running away from the explosion site wearing a hooded dress.

Jeremy Tallwood : A short tempered middle aged man, he has no proper job. He makes useless things out of remains from a junkyard as a hobby. He is wearing a prosthetic limb on his right leg. He was found standing on top of a building with a clear view of the explosion.

Arthur Wind : An average sized professional boxer, he has had issues with his family and was caught by police twice before for drunk driving. He was reported to be walking around the explosion site suspiciously by witnesses before the explosion took place. His left hand was injured by shrapnel during the explosion.

The police report : The explosion took place in the town center square, in the middle of the night. 2 people died in the explosion, with 7 seriously injured and hospitalised. The bomb used was an ingeniously engineered  heat triggered bomb that required delicate work. The bomb was placed near the exhaust pipe of a car, so it would go off when the car was started. But investigations prove that the only car in the town center was not started in the night, so the bomber might have had to set the bomb off by himself and run fast to escape the explosion. A trail of blood was found from about 50m from the explosion site to 150m away, near the entrance of one of the many skyscrapers in the area.

Of course, like a real life alternative of Sherlock Holmes, it took you just seconds to figure out who the criminial was.

Who was the bomber and why?

Answer: Jeremy Tallwood. The bomb required delicate work, and he , used to making things out of scrap, could do it quite easily. He also wore a prosthetic limb, which started bleeding after he started to run, which explains the blood trail starting after some distance. The blood trail ends at the door of a skyscraper, and he was found at the top of a building. So he is the culprit.

Answer given by Harigovind Elamana.
